re-write of 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels'

Guy Ritchie wrote snatch after Lock Stock.
the two movies are similar.
they should have just called it "LSATSB 2".
a bunch of different guys get messy in the gangster world of London.
the only difference is how many people survived to the end.

5/10 and thats only because they got Brad Pitt to even the acting.
definitely not going to watch that garbage again.

stylistically similar does not Equal sequel

That's like dismissing Pulp Fiction as Reservoir Dogs 2

Yes, Tarantino has stated that they occupy the same Universe and has provided 'canon-welding' to that effect through his other films, and the generic Products he uses but they are NOT sequels

Nor are Lock, Stock... and Snatch

Do Guy Ritchies films take place within the same universe like Tarantinos

Well no.Ritchie wrote 7 stories. Smoking barrels. Lsa2 stolen hooves along with others.. he chose lsa2sb to be a film and made the others into a tv series.

See, and that's the funny thing. I first watched Snatch 10+ years ago, and only just watched Lock Stock tonight. Snatch is one of my favorite movies I've ever seen.

I felt annoyed through half of Lock Stock over how similar things were between the two, because so many scenes were really almost exact repeats of Snatch.

Now I know that Lock Stock came out first, but I saw Snatch a long time ago - and because of that, Lock Stock was meh to me.

I like the characters in Snatch, feel like there's some more uniqueness to them - the events are still a bit different as well. But there's definitely a lot of polish to the movie and some better setup scenes (e.g., the "burning", Brad Pitt's boxing fight, the coursing scene, etc.).
