2000 or 2001?

It was released in America in Jan. 2001 but IMDB and Comcast give it a 2000.
Maybe an example of a British/foreign film being given it's country's release dates as notation instead of when it came out over here.

I had to consult a Premiere magazine from Jan 2001 that I still have to confuse myself further.

I'm not sure but I would assume that official IMDb release dates are based on the world premier dates which in this case was in the UK in 2000.
