shareI know the OP is a ghost but I have to disagree. She looked rather plain compared to Marisa Tomei. MT was hot, HH... mmm, not so much.
In fact, I'm like 90% sure Nick would take Lola over Darcy in real life.
That being said, I just saw this movie for the first time and it's not too bad, I think the current IMDB rating of 6.4 is about right, although, I would probably give a slightly lower rating than this, maybe a 6.1 out of 10. Pretty good movie and it has some funny parts but the best thing happened in in the first 10 minutes of the movie. His life as the son of a Vegas showgirl could have turned into quite the entertaining story.
It didn't make a lot of sense that Nick got into advertising after being around showgirls his whole life. But whatever.. it's a movie, and I'm not sure if it's based on a book or just what.
That's your chief complaint? That growing up in Vegas means you can't go into advertising? Are you unaware that there's a ton of marketing and advertising that goes on on behalf of Vegas?

Not exactly, but based on the first 10 minutes of the movie, going into advertising didn't seem to fit. Plus, it was a boring choice of careers for the lead character. And FYI, advertising is big all over.
His job has little to nothing to do with the point of the movie.
