Shia LaBeouf

After starring on Even Stevens, it seems like Shia is starting to become a young rising star. Just the other day, he hosted SNL. Do you think he will become a big name actor in about 10 years?

Without a doubt. I remember watching this show all the time and thinking, "wow this kid is really good." and now he's starting to pop up in more and more films. I saw A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and he totally stole that movie for me. An immensely talented actor.

If he sobers up. He has true talent. Saints was amazing.

I agree, back when I used to watch this show I always thought Shia was going to be big. Anyone seen Tru Confessions? He's incredible in that movie.

Sober up? What are you talking about?

I saw that movie, it really did show to me how good of an actor he was. I used to watch Even Stevens but didn't really think anything too much of him but did think he was probably the only actor who actually "did" act like real teenage boys do at his age. Now that I've seen Distubia and Bobby it does show how good of an actor he's becoming and his interviews sound really serious and mature. He sounds so dedicated and takes acting very seriously.

lol. I think Shia Labeouf is turning out good. He has his moments. He can be dramatic. And funny. And awkward. And he does action films well too. And I'm glad he's not delving too deep into this whole 'Teen idol' ordeal like so many modern disney stars.

He also shied away from music when Disney wanted another hilary duff or lindsey lohan. He seems to know what he wants in this business and he approaches it like a respectable man. I'm glad that he believes that partying all night and getting drunk every day just doesn't cut if you want to be a respected film star.

The roles he takes are good, and he has done good at catapulting himself to the forefront of the cinemas. But as he has stated in previous interviews - independent films -- obviously independent of hollywood's corruption -- is also very necessary and sometimes huge hollywood stars don't get that.

A guide to recognizing your saints was independant - and that's what enabled him to steal the show. Although Robert downy jr. did well too... But he was allowed to show his emotions in a way that hollywood would have rejected.

But then he did do disturbia and transformers -- which has gained him considerable recognition.

I don't think he needs to sober up at all - he is quite possibly the most serious (not in the funny sense) and respectable actor of my generation...I'm eighteen. I just hope he doesn't get a big head about being so popular. It looks like he already has.

He used to be nervous during interviews but now he's kind've 'spiffy.' And it seems like the old shia labeouf - the before fame shia labeouf - is gone. I know he's growing up, but I think he's changed quite a bit, and I think a lot of the reason for that change is because of the stress from hollywood and success.

I agree with almost everything. Shia's amazing.

I think he's always been a little cocky though. I remember watching him on Project Greenlight back when they were filming The Battle of Shaker Heights, and thought he had a little bit of an ego thing going. But it didnt really bother me. And actually I think now that he's gotten older, he's come off that ego trip a bit. He seems a lot more mature from what I've seen in some of the interviews.

I never did watch Even Stevens that much, but I did like the Disney Channel Orginal movies he was in before the show was cancel. I didn't know he was gonna move into bigger movie roles like Hilary Duff did when he made Disturbia, Surf's Up and Transformers. The more I look at him, it's like...wow! I know it's easy to tell it's the same old kid who play Louis on the show, but...wow! Where did the years roll by?

actually, shia labeouf did get into the drinking scene and party scene a couple years ago. He was arrested for a DUI and he did have a lot of problems. but man, he has talent! he did amazing in Even Stevens, and he is probably the only disney star who ever got anywhere and who ever will get anywhere. i dont see miley cyrus going anywhere after disney...

He is not a star, his career has just been one big stinker after the other and he knows it:

... Apparently Shia Lebouf realizes what a total douche he is and has finally figured out his career will not depend on big stinkers anymore.. You all need your heads examining if you think he is a good actor, he shall and shall always be named: THAT KID FROM EVEN STEVENS it will even be engraved on his Tombstone.
