Even Stevens and Boy Meets World are very similar

Both have a main character with curly dark brown hair that has a best friend with long blond-ish hair and is kind of tall and thinks he is hot.

Both Cory from Boy Meets World and Louis from Even Stevens have both a sister and a brother.

They both have love interests who are their friends at first and a little weird. (Topanga and Tawnie) Plus the two girls both have weird names.

I'm sure there are more similarities as well. Weird huh?

But you could make the same arguement for other shows that might be "similar" to each other. Like Lost and Flight 29 Down. Unofficial Site

Which is stupid on the creators part, because Lost is the best movie in the entire world and something that I cherish forever and ever. Flight 29 Down is pointless. But then again, that is just me.

These shows are absolutely nothing alike and the similarities you gave are a stretch.

I wouldn't really consider Louis's hair curly
Shawn didn't have anything close to resembling blonde hair
Cory actually has an older brother and a younger brother and sister while Louis has a brother and sister who are both older

Topanga and Cory have known each other since they were little kids and have liked each other since they were little kids(puppy love) while Louis didn't meet Tawny until middle school.

Now about the show in general

Even Stevens was purely a comedy show, no life lessons, no really on-going plot just episode to episode. Of course they had things continue on like a relationship between Ren and Bobby or Louis and Tawny but nothing life changing.

While Boy Meets World was a comedy show, they still dealt with serious topics and had "life lessons" in almost every episode. Not to mention a much broader cast of recurring characters and an lot of guest stars and more detailed plots. Middle school, highschool, college, married life. You may think I am going overboard but I just had to show that these two shows are not at all similar.
