So...Ren herself, Christy Romano, announced:

"In celebration of Disney Channel's 30th Anniversary, The EVEN STEVENS' musical episode has been chosen as "one of the most influential moments in Disney Channel History."

She's going to be on Radio Disney tomorrow to promote it, so listen in if you can! The way it is sounding, if the ratings are up there, there could be some other things in store for us!

Is somebody kidding here? In a category -- musical episodes of scripted series -- where attempts, ranging from Buffy to Daria, have been at best awkward, at worst cringemaking, this one's at the bottom of the heap. I'll never forget Ren singing something about about the Apollo moon landing happening "not in 1970 but one before" in order to rhyme with the previous line.

Hahahaha Acceler, great post. I forgot about that, but I used to sing that 'We Went to the Moon' song for a while after that episode. She also says 'not 1968 but the year after' :-D

Also, the original poster said it was named as influential in Disney Channel history. Not the history of television, or every musical show, and neither Buffy nor Daria are Disney Channel.
