name of peice
I am wondering if anyone knows the name of the choral peice that plays during the archive footage of the lunar module leaving. (...about 1h:29min into the movie)
Is it on the soundtrack?

That piece was especially written for the movie, but it is on the soundtrak CD (can't remember the name).
shareI believe it's called "The Day The World Stood Still" by Tina Arena with the Australian Boys Choir. It's on the soundtrack.
whats the sound track called??
sharebelieve it or not the soundtrack is called.... the dish...
that track (the day the world stood still) annoys me because its an outrageous ripoff of james horner's apollo 13 score. i figure that horner is the only one who should (and often does) exercise the privilege of ripping himself off. ;)
still i have to admit i enjoy the soundtrack overall, especially russell morris's the real thing

yer right there! 48hrs and commando appear to hve the same music!
Here's an answer that's 5 years late. I'm pretty sure it's "Lorsque Vous N'Aurez Rien A Faire" from "Cherubin", performed by Dawn Upshaw. She's phenomenal! She is a breast cancer survivor, and still performing. She's going to be in Elora, Ontario, on July 17th. Can't wait!
