I remember seeing this movie in theatres when it came out so I may be wrong on this, but isn't this the movie where after the guy kills a girl, he adopts her cat?
I always wondered about the purpose of that. Cats are only loyal to whoever is willing to feed it at the time, perhaps?

Yeah, he takes her cat in after he kills her - for awhile, anyway; the cat disappears from the film without a trace after one scene with Keanu.
