I saw this movie last night on TV, although I missed the start.
I found it to be a pretty interesting potrayal of prison life and the characters were all interesting.
So all in all I was impressed.
Was I the only one freaking out when Tom Arnold tried to rape him in the bathroom *shudders*

I liked it too. I was pleasantly surprised. Defoe was great and what a memorable role by Mickey Rourke. What was weird is that I was actually sympathetic with his character, which would not have been accomplished had it been another actor. I really liked this. Good directing debut by Buscemi.
