6.6 RATING, HOW DUMB ARE THESE PEOPLE WATCHING THIS FILM!!!!!!

I have to personally say that I am repulsed with the new culture of little teeny bopper losers that think its cool to dance to rap music and watch 50 cent, Live or Die Trying and think thats a good movie. Men of Honor is a fantastic movie that has many different attractions to it that grip you from beggining to end. Great story, great acting, and also shows the sacrifice that young men of color had to go through to earn a position of respect back in the day. I really fear for our country knowing that someday all these idiots that think Fast And The Furious is a good movie will be running it.

I love this movie and came here expecting like a 8/10, less than 7 is weird. It has a great story, well acted, well directed, has drama, this is one of the better movies i have seen in the last 10 years or so.

yeh i was supprised at seeing the rating tht low, i thought this movies was excellent, and expected the rating at like 8.5+

I totally agree. This movie is incredible. the people who like the *beep* you mention are the same kind of people don't know what D-day is, or have no idea what Remembrance/Veterans day is all about.

Now that's stupid. I rated this movie a 6/10 because it's only a decent movie and I do think Fast And The Furious is crap and it's unbelievably dumb and disgusting.

Oh, by the way, 6.6 is pretty good rating for a movie, a few number of good movies are even rated 5.something.

I'm going to give it a one. I couldn't even watch it when it was playing as the in-flight movie. Horrible acting (De Niro can not do a southern accent...see "Cape Fear"). Cuba is hit or miss and he missed by a long shot on this one. Theron was bad and the set and location was done poorly. All this is a shame because it is really a great story (the actual one not the movie) that should have had a better budget put into the writing than the actors salary.

Not sure what you're getting at criticising the writing, there were very few flawed lines that I can point out. Also, realize that it's a biography and as such there aren't many liberties a writer can take with the story without it becoming a completely untrue Hollywood farce (not that that's stopped them before).

I may be able to buy your disdain with DeNiro's southern accent, as movie watchers we're not used to it and it may bother some people. However to say that he was acting badly is a gross overstatement. Perhaps because you didn't actually watch the movie you were disappointed maybe?

The comment about it possibly being made into a television movie is probably true. Let's face it, it's not a really hard story to tell, and it's been done before (Brian's Song, the story about the guy who set the mile record, etc.) Biographies are inherently formulaic, but let me also say that it's doubtful this story could've been told any better, or acted any better. I think it's a fantastic movie that warrants a better rating than it's got.

I have been watching movies for probably 13 years now, and now I am 19. I just watched this one. It's OK. It's too obvious I think. I know it's based on a true story, and the story is good. I just didn't like the storytelling. This movie deserves nothing more than a 6/10 rating.
