Great Movie. Period.

seen this film a dozen times now I guess. Each time it was worth the view. Dont care what anyone says, this movie was excellent. Sure it was dramatized by hollywood and loosely based on a real story but this is one movie that hit the mark with a good storyline, great acting, highs, lows and a fitting end.

I thought gooding was as good in this film as he was for jerry m. & radio if not better. DeNiro, well hes always good. These two made a great film.

Should have gotten much more acclaim by movie goers and critics.

Yes this was a great film to watch and I enjoyed it because I am prior Navy myself and have a great deal of respect for the Master Chief. Plus, it shows how much different the military is compared to how it use to be like. My father told me that when he went to see this film and the scene where Master Chief Billy Sunday threw the weights onto that one Petty Officer who fell into the water. It reminded my father of the old school Navy and not todays Navy. I was a part of the old school Navy myself which has changed a lot to be honest with you.

I thought the movie was fantastic!

I am sorry but today's Navy is weak because if a torpedo hit the side of a ship and was sinking the sailors of today could not manage to get things done because they the sailors could not handle me barking orders at them to plug up the hole in the ship. The minute I started using profanity at them they would start to cry and I would tell them to get the f@ck out of my neighbor sailor!

If they could not handle that then my hands would be around their throats and up against the bulkhead. Then I would get their act straightened out if not they would be booted out of my Navy!
