They did have it hard back then


While I don't believe in giving anybody special treatment because of their color, on the other hand, nobody should be mistreated because of their color either, especially when they are only trying to better themselves. I think it all boils down to how our parents teach us and the thoughts they throw our way. At least one person at that diving school ( the other different person, the stutterer) tried to be decent. And eventually, towards the end, a lot of the men could see the error of their ways. Times sure have changed though. Nobody would be allowed to act as hateful at those men acted, which is a good thing.
