There should be a law

The film biz cannot portray the life experience of a real human being unless they can get an actor that LOOKS LIKE THAT PERSON. I'm sick of these movies where a man who was 6'2" is portrayed by someone 5'2". That is too much suspension of disbelief. And it gets worse from there on... This movie sucked because Cuba Gooding did not REMOTELY resemble the real sailor.

Yeah, and Tom Cruise looks nothing like Lestat the Vampire.

So who then would you propose they should have cast as Rocky in Mask? ;-)
Or John Merrick in The Elephant Man? ;-)

In all seriousness, for me, at least remote resemblance is good enough for me in cases of films about real life people. It's the story that is important.
