Scene question

So I am watching this movie for the second time today and I get to the scene when Parker (ryan) and Robin (Lewis) are playing cards. They are talking and I am guessing having a pretty good time. Then Longbaugh (Del Toro) comes in and Parker gets all mad and everything gets tense all of the sudden.

Is there a certain reason why the mood changes?

reply

Parker's sympathy for the kidnap victim has been growing. Remember the sandwich he shares with her and the expression on Longbaugh's face when he comes back to the car and they're each munching on a half? And notice what she's wearing on the bed. She's wearing Parker's shirt. It's not Parker getting mad that is transformative. It's Longbaugh. Parker is just responding.
= Longbaugh: A heart is the only thing that has value. If you have one, get rid of it.

"I'd never ask you to trust me. It's the cry of a guilty soul."
