?!?!?!?!?! are there only 2 episodes!!!!!
please say this isnt true!!!!
shareWrong board geniuses's
This is a board of Galactica the second coming, you know what would've been the continuation of the original Battlestar Galactica.
Not the Ron Moore Smut in space show...
Soon Adama, soon - Baltar.
"Smut"????
A soon-to-be classic, I think you'll find.
But each to there own, I suppose....
I believe the new show is Smutt, and will never be a soon to be classic, it will be a soon to be disgrace!! LOL

Smut !?!
Ha ha
time has told... and you were wrong.
Jezzz I am old enough to remember the original.
And still think the new one is a godsend.
snoogins
This is the wrong board to argue over BSG. If I may just quickly state my opinion, I prefer the original way more than the new one, and I wasn't even around when the original aired!
shareI've put much thought into BSG smut.
Most of what I've found is,recycling issues aside (here, new is better than old),
it' clear that:
Peabody = Not Smut
Unless your little dictionary uses different words along with its pretty color pictures.
;-)
Wow. I bet this "sdarrin" guy sure feels like the world's biggest idiot now.
shareIt's funny how time has changed. Five years ago people were groaning about the new BSG saying it would never be a classic or as good as the original(? the original was laughable even when it was first released) now everyone knows that the new BSG is far superior and just an all round outstanding tv show. It will stand the test of time and become part of tv history in how awesome it is.
shareHeh, at the risk of continuing, yet again, the thoroughly off-topic direction this thread veered... I lived through the original airings of '78 as a previous poster wrote. I never got round to watching the new BSG yet as I wanted to re-live the original first. Which I am currently doing in a mad marathon which will culminate in Caprica by hopefully the New Year given work schedules :p However, regarding the 'Smut' comment: I watched the BSG 2003 mini-series trailer on the BSG78 extras -- believe it is on disc 3 -- and I have to weigh in that 'Smut' was EXACTLY the impression I left with after the 2 minute spot. That and 'Terminator'.
Again, I haven't started watching BSG-21st-century yet -- I will extend credit to those who posted saying it develops into a good series and give it a chance... Just realise that the first 'smut' impression IS unarguably there, full force, even in the trailer to the '03 mini-series; and it DID cause this particular fan some pause :)
I resisted the new show for a long time and was exasperated with changes to some of the cast and deletion of others. However, one thing I liked, having served in the Military, was the teamwork and support personnel. Would love to see a version using original show equipment-some improved equipment-and the more gritty slant the new show had.
