If the show wasn't cancelled

Hypothetically, what if Passions wasn't cancelled? What are some of the storylines you would of liked to see had the show continued? What if anything would Passions of had to do to become a "classic" and long-running soap so to speak? Would it even be possible considering some of the subject matter and controversial storylines? Above are some of the ideas I have about what could of been, they're all opinions mind you, feel free to disagree with them. One of which has been in my head for the past two days.

Lets say the show picks up three years after the finale. Alistair Crane, seemingly shot dead from a distance by Vicki has long since shown back up alive and well, you wouldn't have to explain it, he's just there. Meanwhile, Crane Industries is on the verge of financial ruin, with Julian scrambling to save the company before it goes under. He's been trying to rebuild the company's reputation after the numerous illegal acts perpetrated by Alistair. He has since married Eve though they're marriage is strained as Julian has started drinking from all the stress. He's also under pressure from Alistair to relinquish control of Crane Industries back to him, which Julian refuses to do. Nevermind the fact his son and daughter are both certifiably insane and Fox's death is still fresh in his mind. Elsewhere Tabitha has been living with the Bennetts and using her powers for good, though they're considerably weaker now.

Alistair would attempt to run for public office of all things, and would be shot and (seemingly) paralyzed from the waist down. Now confined to an electric wheelchair, Alistair is still as conniving as ever, and would continue his villainess ways. Vicki would appear seemingly reformed, but soon returns to her wicked ways after a visit from Alistair, she would later turn out to be yet another Crane grandchild, who Alistair attempts to mold in his image, treating her much the same way he once treated Fancy. All the while Alistair would attempt to gain custody of Endora from Tabitha as well.

Later, on Halloween night Maria, daughter of Miguel and Kay is out trick or treating. Elsewhere Julian has gotten drunk and gotten behind the wheel. Commenting is father is evil, his son is insane, his other son is dead, and his daughter Pretty is also crazy. In a stupor, Julian accidentally hits Maria, but keeps going, not realizing what happened. Later in the hospital her injuries are so extensive even magic can't help, with Tabitha commenting that since she's a good witch now, only black magic could bring someone back. Maria sadly succumbs to her injuries. Later Julian discovers what happened and puts the pieces together, but doesn't say anything.

Later Alistair finds out about what happened, and uses the information to blackmail Julian into making him CEO of Crane Industries. Julian, knowing he'd possibly go to prison, reluctantly gives into Alistair's demands. Later we find out Alistair has been faking his paralysis, having only lost the use of his legs for a week or so after being shot. The last part in regards to Julian hitting Maria is just a thought of mine, and even if the show were to continue in some form, I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to actually go through with said storyline.

Feel free to add your own two cents.

You know, honestly I feel like Passions is already a classic. Sure, it didn't last as long as some other soaps but quantity doesn't mean quality. Besides, compared to most shows of today Passions had a great run at 9 years. It was indeed controversial and outlandish at times but that's what set it apart from its competition and made it such an iconic show.

Okay, that being said, now let's talk about potential storylines if Passions came back for new episodes. I agree with your idea of a time jump, maybe three or four years. A lot can happen in that amount of time so we could utilize some flashbacks; how did (fill in the blank) get to where they are now? I disagree, however, with your idea of bringing Alistair back from the dead. Alistair's death was a karmic payback for all of his evil deeds and bringing him back would, in my opinion, be unnecessary. Also, you mentioned a possible storyline involving Alistair trying to get custody of Endora but I couldn't see that happening as he is not her father but rather grandfather; besides I don't think he'd want her if she were his daughter anyway.
As for your idea about Julian and Eve being married and Julian suffering from alcohol addiction, I love it! I even like your idea about Maria being a victim of a hit & run but I think I'd add a twist; Vincent has escaped prison and finds an inebriated Julian stumbling around town. Julian believes he's simply imagining seeing his son/daughter (he is a hermaphrodite after all, haha). Vincent uses this to his advantage and begins exacting his revenge on the town of Harmony by hitting and killing Maria. He then knocks Julian out and places him behind the wheel where he'll believe he's responsible for the crime. Julian will reveal what he thinks he's done to Eve and she'll be morally torn; does she protect her husband or turn him in for his crime? Vincent would take on more of an Alistair role; grandson/daughter like grandfather. He would also completely get rid of Valerie and re-do his female persona completely as to more easily blend in and not be recognized. I'd also bring Whitney and Simone back. Whitney can't seem to make any relationship she enters work because she can't get over Chad, plus she can see how hard Chad's death has been on Miles. In a sick twist, Simone could enter a relationship with Vincent's female persona (hey, he slept with his uncle and father!). We then could do another twist and learn Alistair had been experimenting on cloning and ended up cloning Chad! Whitney would run into him and lots of juicy drama could unfold, maybe Alistair's old henchmen could be out to kill clone Chad to destroy evidence. Also I'd bring back Charity and finally have Kay get her comeuppance. This would send Kay back into her evil ways--she loses her daughter (the only child she'll ever be able to have AND Miguel). She could become Harmony's new evil witch! We'd also explore Theresa and Ethan, maybe create some drama dealing with Little Ethan. I'd also make it so Jane is actually Gwen's baby and have Theresa try to cover it up. Theresa and Ethan would be a happy and functioning couple, though. Whew! There's lots more but I'll end it here.

I think they should seriously make a spinoff. Bring it back.

I love you, Kristen Stewart. :) You are so beautiful and talented. I would love to perform with you.

I wonder if there's a way to get people to make one and get the castle back. Make Gwen good. Bring Vincent and Vikings back for revenge. But don't split the couples up. The way the show ended is how they were meant to be. no Luis and Sheridan. Keep it Luis and Fancy.

I rather disagree with leaving Alistair dead.... Alistair was the driving force of many of the nefarious plots in Harmony, if Passions were to have continued his presence would of been essential, though maybe he would of been softened somewhat. Perhaps give him a comedic sidekick (think Bart from Days of our Lives).

Anyway, Alistair and Vicki would plot to destroy Julian and Ivy though Vicki (who's now living in the Crane mansion; who knows why that would be up to the writers/producers to figure out) starts to bond with her parents (again, writers/producers) and tumbles down the Crane staircase during a confrontation with Alistair. Later Vicki would be suffering from amnesia. Meanwhile Julian has discovered the awful truth from Sam Bennett (who had been doing some investigating into Vicki's past) that she in fact his daughter. For Vicki's sanity Julian decides to keep her murderous past a secret from her. Elsewhere a livid Alistair plots to manipulate Vicki's psyche and turn her into the ideal granddaughter. To accomplish this he gaslights her in order to drive her insane. Later Alistair abducts her, and attempts to marry her in his most twisted plot yet. Luckily the police and Julian arrive just in time, with father and son having a showdown in a hall of mirrors with Julian brandishing a gun. He shoots Alistair but the wound is non-fatal as he isn't worth it. Alistair is sent to prison, though he mysteriously vanishes from his cell the next morning. Alistair would be abducted and held captive by a mysterious character with unknown motives, Alistair seemingly getting his comeuppance for once. It would also be revealed that Alistair had secretly placed subliminal messages in Vicki's brain, which led her to commit all the murders.

Just felt like adding some stuff.
