What happened at the end?

So what happened to Eddie after the car scene. Did she ever see him after they both got out of rehab? Did he go back to baseball or what? They kinda left it hanging, although I really liked the end with the guy with the glasses and Gwen. :O)

We don't know and we're not supposed to know... that's the whole thing about cleaning up, the unknown. They said 3 out of 10 don't make it (closer to 2 in reality) so you're supposed to take that for what you will.

Eddie appeared to have been checking himself again when he first showed up, so that's another thing to consider.

Albeit since it was kinda upbeat at the end, let's assume he went back to baseball and pitched a no-hitter, this time clean and sober. And he met up with Gwen several years down the road and lived happily ever after.

3 out of ten make it, that is, stay clean, if I understand the statistics correctly (I thought it was actually closer to forty percent success, but less than half). Please don't ask me why I know this.

If the ending were too happy, I think it would have been less realistic, unfortunately.

In Viggo's final scene, I think that what his character said to Gwen about Jasper stuck with her and helped her make a later decision about their relationship. And that's what friends do . . . help other friends. But, I often wondered what became of them!

I assume I need no introduction -- Lestat

Yeah-It was funny when Eddie tried to get an autograph from the soap star as he was checking in, but, it was a waste of film. Eddie should have showed up at Gwen's door after he completed HIS 28 days! And then they'd just fall into each other's arms. Kiss-Kiss and more Kissin'

.....and the they have a few drinks and end up back at the rehab, and then there will be a sequel called...(drum roll please)...28 'Mo Days!

Nah, this should never be a sequel, if it is than it's just for the bliss of money. I think that Gwen was moving on without Jasper or Eddie as Eddie clearly stated towards the end, I know I messed up , there's not a lot I can do about it right now....which trails towards the end where she meets up with Jasper only to see how much she has washed herself up and lets him go, I find without the Hollywood ending and staying to the true logic of the story and not just letting Gwen and Eddie find each other, kiss and calling this another Pretty Woman fairytale a very poignant study of alcoholism and self discovery....I just find it disturbing to see this only got six stars out of ten which is repulsive when you have great acting, witty dialogue and a bunch of humorous elements all packaged in this brilliant movie! Oh well.......

I was very dissapointed when gwen and Eddie didn´t become a couple in the end... I wanted them very much to become that:-( i hope that they both stays sober and meet each other again and become a couple!
