ending depressing?

They won that big game and at the end sure the main character gets the girl thats a given but everyone else they are pretty much going back to the same o same o, you would think they would be friends after all of this and do casual meetups like friends do but nope... does anyone else have a problem with this?

Well it was obvious at the end when they were hugging or shaking hands or what have you that a bond was formed. So I highly doubt they just went their separate ways, I am pretty sure they kept in touch with each other.
