throughout the movie, who did the team have as shane's backup qb? if he got hurt, who takes the snaps for the team?

likewise when martel returns to the team, who is his backup? why wouldn't shane be kept on the team in case martel gets hurt? the guy hasn't played a game in over a month and it's just assumed he'd never get hurt? if he got hurt in the 1st quarter of that last game, the team is out of luck.

And Martel wouldn't cross without his offensive line. At the same time, the coach/owner wouldn't put their star QB out there like that.

Martel crossed because he was offered good money. The owner put him in to make the playoffs.

Yeah; this is definitely a flaw in the movie. Neither Falco or Martel had a back-up.

I'm not sure about Martel, but I do think Falco had a backup. In the scenes where the replacement players are first training, before Falco shows, someone is taking snaps. There were several replacement players who were never identified.

The grave is no bar to my call.
