McGinty going with Martel
The biggest thing that bothers me about this movie is the way McGinty dropped Falco. He had a deal with O'Neil, presumably in writing, that gave him complete control. And O'Neil didn't really make a good argument for putting Martel in. He said the other players would be heartbroken if they didn't have Martel for the game, but I think McGinty knew that wouldn't be the case. The team was heartbroken BECAUSE they dumped Falco for Martel. It's just poorly written, if they hadn't put in that stuff about agreements and complete control, they could have made it O'Neil's call. But in the end, it was apparently McGinty's. Which makes all his inspiring team speeches and talk about Falco being his QB sound like hot air.
