Baltimore Ravens gave Reeves a tryout for the team after this

I believe they even offered him a spot on the team after the tryout, but he declined if i'm correct

Keanu was that great of a QB? haha

reply

Yeah I think you're right. I heard it on the DVD extras or something. That would've been so funny to see Keanu Reeves as a real QB.

reply

Reeves was like, "Yeah, I made most of the throws in the movie, but that wasn't me getting hit."

reply

Considering their QBs at the time were Trent Dilfer and Tony Banks, I guess you can't blame em

reply

Don't forget Kyle Boller and Cordell Stewart.

reply

you gotta lay off Dilfer. He played well enough to help win the Super Bowl.

Yeah, that's the story, but it just sounds like PR bull to me, either to promote the film, to get the Ravens some attention, or both.

At a listed height of 6'1" (probably an exaggeration), Reeves would be a bit small for an NFL QB, but mostly, to think a Hollywood actor with zero college experience would have any future at all in the NFL is laughable. The Ravens would have been more likely to sign Jon Favreau to spell Ray Lewis at LB.

reply

Yes, PR bull crap. Disregard, move on.

reply

Johnny Utah!

reply

Thank God someone remembers Point Break. Reeves has experience at the QB position, at least in make believe land.

reply

If he was that great of a quarterback, he must've been that great of a surfer as well. :D

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!
