Yeh, It's called Biohazard in Japan only.
shareBiohazard is the original Japanese Title. It was changed to Resident Evil for the international market because A: they though Resident Evil sounded better, and B: there was/is already a band called Biohazard, and Capcom (I think) didn't want to be confused with them.
