(Spoiler) How did their hands get untied??

Near the end when they are about to be hung, Everett, Pete, and Delmar all have their hands
tied behind their backs.

After the "flood" when they are riding the coffin, their hands are free.
With hands tied they all probably would have drowned--so how did their hands get untied?

I know--suspension of disbelief!

Well, they were the Devil's bonds, so naturally they all got washed away in the giant baptism, along with the Devil, his 2 deputies, his 3 gravedigging imps, his hellhound, and all that Dapper Dan pomade.
