When Pappy joins the Soggy Bottom Boys on stage dancing, he does an interesting move -- he seems to lick his thumb and place it on his hip. Anyone know the significance of this gesture?

He does this like one would test a hot iron. He is saying that his ass is "hot" and sexy (at least in his mind).
