In terms of Americana, and stories set in the south - Driving
Miss Daisy - which also features Ray McKinnon, who plays Holly Hunter's "new beau" Vernon T. Waldrip in O Brother, Where Art Thou? Other movies about "Americana", but set in a later era, are American Graffiti, Stand By Me, and Mr. Holland's Opus - all of which, coincidently, star Richard Dreyfuss.
