I was surprised at how well it held up too. I thought the clothes and music would date it, but they fit the overall tone/theme so well that you don't even notice. Most of the CGI still holds up relatively well too - some looks bad but the majority isn't any worse than things coming out today. The fight scenes are fantastic, and the villain was great too, which is usually the hardest part of movies like this. Plus Snipes just plays Blade so perfectly that almost anything he's doing is watchable in this.

Out of the 3 I think this holds up well the best in 2016..... Blade for something that came out in 1998 looked dated by 2000.... and Blade 3, well, lets not go there.............

Blade 2 in terms of style, look and story is still very fresh and you would think is a lot younger than it really is..... when you consider this movie was about 6/7 years before Marvels Golden Age of movies started rolling out.

Considering the MCU has not been able to make a movie as kick-ass as this one, I'd say it holds up extremely well.

It holds up ok for me. Not great but still entertaining.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

It's fun.
Some of the music is dumb.
The Blood Team and their names are dumb.
Scud is pretty much dumb, but not much worse than Whistler.

The Reapers make this movie and Nomak is an awesome antagonist.

Overall I think it holds up, but some of the slow motion and other stuff reminded me of The Matrix a bit much. But then again, every movie and it's mother was borrowing from that at the time.

The cast alone makes this movie timeless. Snipes, kristopherson, Darryl, even Luke Goss
Also noticed that the blind guy from rogue one is in it.

Watched it today on Netflix. Defo eti holds up today, thought the cgi was very good considering its 15 year old! Also forgot Norman reedus played scud 🙈
