I'm almost afraid to watch it again

Comet shows episodes of this show. It's a somewhat recent thing. I own the show and have considered rewatching it, but after catching the odd episode or so, I'm not so sure. It's just so...amateurish.

Don't get me wrong, I was hooked on this show when I discovered it, and I would without a doubt watch a follow up, but I cringe when I see snippets of this show now. There's a lot of growling, hissing, funny postures meant to come off as tough or scary and it can be quite the opposite. The background music is usually brutal, which always kills drama to me, and the acting and look can be quite hokey.

Interesting, I was wondering if Farscape fans could change and see this show how I always saw it. Thanks for your honesty.

I'm in the midst of rewatching it. It still holds up. Yeah, not everything about it was great, and I think they went overboard on the made-up swear words, but I can still enjoy it. They show did a lot with the budget they had, and they were leagues ahead of what Star Trek was doing at the same time in terms of aliens. There were some on Farscape that were just "bumpy forehead aliens" à la Star Trek TNG and its offspring, but the Jim Henson creature show managed to bring some genuinely alien looking characters to the screen as well.
