Shot on 35mm - any chance of an HD release?
just as they've been doing with Star Trek, Next Generation, where they've scanned the original negatives and even redone the CGI to HD, could we see the same for Farscape?

shareI know it's been released on Blu-Ray, but that was an up conversion rather than a negative onwards remastering.
shareOne thing that bugged me was that the first three seasons were in the pre-widescreen aspect ratio, before the fourth switched to widescreen. Is there any way to change those seasons in a future release?
Talyn! You're fahrbot!
If it were shot in a 16:9 ratio ...or similar - yeah - maybe that still around on the 35mm - I don't know much about film - so maybe someone could point to the obvious.
The Original Trek was probably 4:3 .... wonder if they "made" it wide screen. The problem there - I would assume - is that you are sort of blowing it up and cropping it to get your ration - that may work for some or even most scenes but maybe not all scenes.
I even remember some of the behind the scenes they were talking about making the first "wide screen" puppet for 4:3 format. B5 was shot on widescreen video (iirc) originally - except the pilot - but they had all that drilled down to keep the costs down. My understanding -for Sci Fi - Farscape became more expensive as time went on - they went to widescreen in season 4 (and it does look much better) but that also jacked the costs up a bit and Sci Fi foolishly ran out of money (or their parent company did) and now all we have for S5 is Peace Keeper Wars - which is fine, but a full season (maybe two) would have been killer.
Unfortunately, the answer to your question is no. Back when the blu-rays for the show came out, the show's producers spoke about why they only upconverted from the PAL masters instead of doing a complete remaster from the film source. The 35mm negatives for the entire show have been lost and/or destroyed. So the upconversion is the best we'll ever get.
