What you need to know about Farscape...

If you're new to Farscape,streaming,or someone lent you theirs...and your wondering why people love it so...It is because you haven't got to the end of season one.
I can't say why they waited..likely, because when Farscape was on,it was still common for TV series to have 20 to 24 episodes per season. That requires a tremendous amount of filler eps...There are 22 episodes in each season of the four seasons it was on. But everything changes at episode 19 "Nerve"....,One character in peticular and several others are introduced that make this series well worth the time,assuming you're a sci fi buff and enjoy tongue in cheek,nearly campy tales of everything sci fi. SCORPIO is all you need to know..once this character is introduced,in Nerve, everything changes!

This new nemisis is one of the best portrayals of evil and selfishness I've seen. With a dynamic back story that comes later.
I too had some trouble with the earlier eps,of season one..Don't become discouraged!...I became hooked...
Now it it is my favorite sci fi. Actually one of my very favorite in any genre.

The acting,outrageous characters and incredible makeup and puppets are amazing and the stories get better with a lot of real thrills and adventure. All done with a satirical edge and a tongue in cheek attitude,with refrences to pop culture that those of us you have become endeared to this work can't get enough of.

Give it a try,but know that you need to get to the end of season one before the real stories begins. It probable won't hurt to skip'ahead (I can't believe I'm saying this..lol..)to "Nerve"..and I bet you'll look back after you finish out the season,if you're posed to give up..But you have to decide...The previous eps are not essential to the story.
