So what was the role of Adam Baldwin here???

He was someone who joined the British as he saw the colonialists are traitors but he was very upset when John Isaacs burned the church and everyoe in the village...I thought he might help Mel Gibson in the end...

But he didnt do that, and nothing was told about this death or anything....

He was a loyalist. Had he survived the war, he likely would have moved to Canada or Louisiana, or possibly Britain.

I couldn't believe when I read his filmography that he played a toilet (no joke) in According to Jim

His role was to show that there were Loyalists who still wanted to be under British rule.

As other posters have mentioned he represented the Loyalist factions in the American Revolutionary War. The film doesn't go into the Loyalist cause very much at all. That's probably the reason Baldwin's character is very much a supporting role.🐭
