I have a few question about the film (Some Scenes)
Hi in the beginning when Col Tavington said to the Black Slaves if they fought for England they would be free men? And then after the house burned they were led away by the British Soldiers and not even seeming upset about fighting for the British at all. They said they weren't slaves they just worked the land.
I don't understand why they would want to fight for England? Did they not have a choice?
Then when Col Tavington called for the Town Meeting why didn't they wait before going to the meeting for Benjamin Martin and his soldiers to go to the meeting with him? What if they said they weren't interested in going? Would they have been shot?
And then Adam Baldwin who said he was ready to fire the town on Tavingtons order what did that mean? Did he mean let the people out of the church and just burn their town down? Did he think the soldiers were just going shoot them?
And why did Col Tavington burn down a Church? Isn't that against his religion? They were Christians.
And why did Adam Baldwin even throw the Torch on the Church in the first place? Why didn't he just turn around and set Col Tavington on Fire instead? Tavington then said this would be forgotten. What did that mean?
At least he would have died like a man.
And how did they block the windows in the church? Were they already on the windows to begin with? Were they Window Doors?
Any answers greatly appreciated.
Thank you Kindly
