shareI was happy to see Mel Gibson's character chop and shoot the scumbag red coat lobsters. It is a sad film. I felt sorry for everybody dying but the British were in the wrong on the small scale Andrew grand scale.
Ironically the British didn't learn their lesson as they have repeated massacres of people in many colonies of the world up until the 1960s.
Sorry! It's true!
You really seem obsessed with Britain. It's really cute.
shareand america?
shareI don't recall Mel Gibson ever saying anything really bad about the British. Given who he is, it wouldn't surprise me, but I've not heard anything.
shareHe hasn't but a lot of people think that as a Catholic his involvement in such movies is as a result of sectarianism but a lot of that is in their own heads.

He didn't write, direct, or produce the film, and only got the role after Harrison Ford turned it down.
Cary Grant did a movie where he was fighting the British in the American Revolution while he was still an English citizen. ACTING!
well, that's what you get for killing his great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, Braveheart!
FFFFFFreeeeeddddooooooooOOOOOOooooommmm!!!!1!!11!!
Between this and Braveheart, I agree that Mel Gibson seems to be anti-English. I'm surprised he never made a movie about the Boer War in South Africa. That would have been a perfect opportunity to bash the English.
shareI'm surprised he hasn't made a movie about that good old soul Adolf Hitler and how the Jews have besmirched his name given his anti-semitism.
