shareI really enjoy the movie, but it is hard to overlook the racism in the movie. Also the scene where Nicholas Cage mocks Master P by saying, "Aight."
shareYou've obviously have NEVER ridden with an Asian, female driving student.

Ok. If the filmmakers have had actual contact with people just like this - like, let's say a filmmaker being around a flamboyant-as-all-hell homosexual man, and put that "stereotype" in the movie, how is that bad? Isn't the filmmaker expressing himself or herself by sharing a part of his or life with us? That is what being a director is all about.
Maybe, just maybe these aren't racist, sexist or homophobic stereotypes. Maybe these are just some simple truths about ourselves and the people around us that we would rather deny or ignore.

So why do you suppose the Asian and the black engaged in such “racist” behavior? Perhaps the evil white slave masters threatened to whip them and sell their children if they refused?
