dialogue is really... 'textbook' ??

is it just me, or does the dialogue in this film sound exceptionally written - it sounds as if you're reading a screenplay... and the character quirks are also seemingly right out of a screenwriting class

--- Abby's smoking to quit the gum story... her giving birth in the Datsun story... her stealthy removal of the toilet paper from the bride's shoe .......... they're all such devices!!

no offense, but it's pretty contrived...... am I the only one who noticed this? I watch a lot of movies - and normally the dialogue flows fairly smoothly ---- but this film sticks out -- I'm watching it now on TV . . . . and I actually kinda like it! it's relaxing! but I'm wondering what others think . . . . .

rad!

Come to me! I vant to schtatt!

Yes, I agree with you. The acting, or whatever the two main actors do in this film is lame, too.
