i'm not a big fan of these type of films or Gwyneth Paltrow ,but this was really good. Affleck( the more people bag him the more i seem to like him ) is really good and besides Kevin Smith films or Changing Lanes i don't think he's given a better performance in his career, i would give the film at least a 7/ 10!
eh, he's all right, but above all else in the film, I was drawn by the emotional impact from the families of victims on flight 82. it kind of reminds me of 9/11 w/o the...you know. but the point is, ben affleck may get by with only his looks, but i think gwyneth paltrow was pretty good in this one.

Yes, I love the emotional impact from the families of victims on Flight 82 made me think about 9/11 terrorist attack. Gwyneth Paltrow's character made me cry when she find out that her husband was one of the victims on Flight 82. This movie is good for a tribute to all those who lost their lives (World Trade bombing, Twin Towers colapse).

I agree, i was pleasantly surprised too. when it came on tv, i gave it ago, despite having seen it for rental for years and never been tempted. I liked it, it wasn't over the top sentimentality, it wasn't too cliched, it had a good story and made you think. it showed the torment for when you lose someone, if you meet someone new, are you being disloyal to your first love by trying to love again? I thought ben affleck did a great job as buddy, although i normally dont like him as an actor, and gwyneth was fantastic as she normally is, although i have to say i agree about her being an ugly brunette!!!!
I watched this just because there was nothing else on and I thought it was fairly good. I have seen a lot of films in this genre and i have seen ones which are worse. We all knew how the film was going to play out etc so you just take it for what it is and it makes you feel happy at the end (unless you hated the film!)
It is. A decent film, no nude scenes which are now inevitable, like guitar solos in rock songs. And Ben Affleck and N.Henstridge are both born on 15. August(not that it matters...).
She did not just meet someone new she fell for the man responsible for her husbands death. Though not deliberately he is still the cause. i really like the movie but just felt this ending should have been that they parted ways. His death would eventually catch up to them with everything from grave visitations, to her childrens anger for not knowing there father. Why put them through that. while thinking of him in general.
