I vaguely remember watching this movie once, but what I want to know is if anyone can tell me where they got the name for Gwyneth Paltrow's character... my last name is Jannello, and it's not that common, so I'm left to ponder...

I don't know if Janello is an Italian surname. What I do know is that, even though the letter J is not used anymore in *contemporary* Italian, it was widely used until a few generations ago (it was pronounced like the German J rather than the English J, i.e. in our case something like "yanello").
In fact, there are plenty of Italian surnames starting with J.
Anyway the film was not that great...

That's what I've always thought--that it can't be Italian because Italian doesn't use the letter J. Jon Bon Jovi's last name is correctly spelled Bongiovi.
