Not typically. However, Ben Affleck has a few tattoos in reality that they may have wanted to keep hidden. That, or he stipulated in his contract he needed a tshirt because he felt like a fatty, or something...

Gwyneth also keeps her shorts on at the waterpark. It could be because of the tatoos, but also because they were there with the kids. I always thought the shorts were weird, but not so much the shirt.

When it's a very sunny day I keep a T shirt on and have sun lotion on my arms. Maybe that's what he did it for

Maybe the director had ben keep his shirt on and gweneth wear the shorts so they would seem older, like parents rather than 20 somethings hanging out at a waterpark.

Ben is so HOT in this movie, he didn't need the shirt at all. When he and Abby had sex he wasn't wearing a shirt, no tattoos that I could see. He looked pretty good to me that's for sure!!!!
