Just deny it?

Why the need to kill the girl? Who would believe her if she cried rape? Pullman had just been appointed a federal judge and had just fired her right before that. It would all look like sour grapes.

Pullman's character is a smart guy, but he hands five grand in cash to a street kid that he just met? What's to keep the unknown street kid from blackmailing him for even more money? I couldn't get past this serious lack of intelligence there.

just my opinion.....Not only that but after so long there would be no evidence. It would have been thrown out of court. I am hoping someone can explain those kids, were they his or the her lovers or someones else. She was a cheater who was about to end the affair. So i felt that they canceled each other out on this matter. Especially because if the kids were not his she was kinda stupid for going to a shrink and having an affair because it will ruin her child support since he no longer was making the money he used to as a lawyer and will have make do. I am sure he will use the house to help pay for his defense, so in the end if he does not forgive her she gets nothing, and the shrink loses his license. In fact even if she was to go to get with shrink he has no means of support.

She really get the short end of the stick. And he will eventually get off for the murders because if his son not testifying and the gal likes his son will not cross the son. Plus again there is no evidence. Also he can blame the wife and lover for payback on framing him because he dumped her and he can prove there was an affair, the shrink will throw her under the bus for his license deal. And tell them she mailed and wrote the letter. So I did not see the film ending with jail time for him but because of his sleazy wife he may get off.
