Nope. You never see anything in the movie minus the stickmen and the rock piles and the stick bundle. Which I like because it leaves the movie so open to interpretation. Was it the witch? Was it Rustin Parr? His ghost? Rednecks? Some ancient giant evil entity that only appears as an awkwardly rendered giant black blob with sticks randomly poking out of it? Or were the trio just tripping balls? It could be any of these things or none of them. It's up to us to decide and that's what makes it so fun and fascinating.

.... I guess I could've just summed all that up with just 'no, you don't see the which in the movie.'

It was obviously the Witch. Everything eluded to the Witch and the supernatural. And even if it was Rustin Parr, it was still technically the witch, anyway. Rustin was under a spell by the witch.

the whole 'redneck' angle is just to boast some sort of false sense of ambiguity when there really isn't any there. Rednecks would be extremely improbable given the protagonists were magically trapped in the woods.

People have sworn they can see brief glimpses of faces and things (such as one example where a light is reflected on the window). But I think it's just people seeing what they want to see to be perfectly honest. They imagine things that aren't really there.

No, you do not see the witch in this or "Book of Shadows." Maybe the new one that comes out soon??? I hope we don't get a cheesy looking CGI witch.

Was there really any doubt in your mind?

reply

Nope.

The ending was first Mike being shoved by one crew member & then tackled by another as soon as he entered the basement. Then Heather, both from their sides out of frame.

Her omg wtf yelling was a crew member in white sheets & mask to her side, who is not in frame either, & for the better we don't see anyone else in shot.

She was supposed to be seen but they didn't turn the camera when they were supposed to.

reply

Nope, not in the first movie at least. In the new film, you do catch glimpses of the Witch though.

Besides, there might not have been a witch for the 1994 incident as it was. Just as the man having one victim turn around in the corner, some ppl's theory is that one of the locals who were interviewed had been bewitched into killing them.

I couldn't see anything, and it bugged me. When they're saying, "What the blank is that?" you want to know what it is?

I didn't find the movie scary, either, yet I've been told by some that it was really scary. I mean nothing really happened, and I didn't know what was going on in the end either. Otherwise I liked it ok.
