how about for the British SAS?

I love the Band of Brothers miniseries. As an American, though, I'd also like to see a Band of Brothers from the British perspective, particularly with those insane special missions the SAS embarked on. Wouldn't that be cool? Why hasn't this been done?

I'd like to see a Band Of Brothers style series about the LRDG too:

If we're staying British, how about a tank unit? The 5th Royal Tank Regt (the Filthy 5th) would be a good choice as they fought from France in 1940, the Western Desert, Italy then back to Europe and ended the war in Hamburg, Germany in 1945.
Mark Urban wrote a pretty good book about the 5th RTR, The Tank War, and also presented a programme for the BBC:

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

If the Pegasus Bridge film goes down well, it might happen.

Valentine in North Africa, 1942-43 by Bryan Perrett is about the 23rd Armoured Brigade and their Valentine I tanks Mk III, the best tank of the Big Two. Good reading as I found out yesterday. I've forgotten how long it's been since I read all of a book; I tend to use them for reference these days for Wiki essays. Just thought I'd let you know. ;o))

A British BOB would have to include Dunkirk and North Africa.

There's a Branathon Dunkirk movie about to drop, as well.

Excellent suggestion. Thank you for sharing that. I see from the wiki article you linked that the LRDG had an Italian nickname of Ghost Patrol; that'd be a great title!
