I know this topic is brought up in every forum discussing Zelda but lets talk about it again anyway. This is NOT specific to Ocarina of Time just Zelda in general. Who would you cast and such? All I can think of is who I'd put in the Costume Director chair and thats the dude who did Brave Heart and Blade Runner. He's excellent.
Anyway...
Lets hear your lists? Also, possible story lines? Directors? Etc.
I would take the story of majora's mask, honestly.
OoT is my favorite game in the series, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it would work as a film.
Majora's mask on the other hand, could easily be converted to a film, as long as the right director took over.
Joss Whedon is my top choice, assuming he's played through the game/likes it.
casting is a tough call, since you'd have to have 3 strong child actors. (link, Zelda, Skull Kid) and that is hard to find.
I would like to see it either completely green screen, with the intention of not trying to fool the audience (If it is set almost like avatar, that would be cool. I wasn't a fan of that, but that landscape I think would work very well)
or with a similar artistic direction of lord of the rings.
even though the game itself is action/adventure, I'd rather an adventure feel than an action (ie. superhero-esque wouldn't cut it for me)
