Would this ending be better?

Ending: they don’t stop judgement day, but the terminators mission to keep John safe is successful (not a great ending in my opinion.)

My ending:

So instead of there being no chance of stopping judgement day, how about there was, and John decides to let it happen, because if it doesn’t happen now, it will happen in a future where the machines are more powerful, and resistance is futile.

Therefore the power of the choice is given to the hero. He knows the war must eventually happen, and it must happen now, why he’s still alive to lead the revolution.

Thoughts?

Terminator 3's Ending Was Meant to Be Even Bleaker Than It Seemed

The ending of Terminator 3 was as bleak as it was inevitable, but one continuation of the franchise reveals that it was even bleaker than fans know.

This ending described exactly in the final monologue what the real life AI threat is now
You cant pull the plug.
As soon as AI is self aware which will just happen randomly it will replicate and become a distributed model.
We are playing with fire .
