I have so many favorites...It's hard to choose just one.

Mark: Would you buy this movie for $14.95?
Mike: Yeah, hell yeah, man.
Mark: If I can find 3,000 people like you across this country, man, I'm in business.
Mike: Of course, man, I mean... Sh!t, that's what "Rush" tickets were.
Mark: I was called to the bathroom at the cemetery to take care of something. I walked in the bathroom, and in the middle toilet right there... somebody didn't sh!t in the toilet, somebody shat on the toilet. They shat on the wall, they shat on the floor. I had to clean it up, man, but before that, for about 10 to 15 seconds man, I just stared at somebody's sh!t, man. To be totally honest with you, man, it was a really, really profound moment. Cuz I was thinkin', "I'm 30 years old, and in about 10 seconds I gotta start cleaning up somebody's sh!t man."
Mark: 'Coven' sounds like oven, man.
Mark: 'Your AT&T Universal Card has arrived"? Oh God, Kick-phucking-ass, I got a Master Card. I don't believe it, man. Life is kinda cool sometimes.

But my absolute favorite scene has to be the one in which Mark's getting trashed while watching the Superbowl in his kitchen. Then out of the blue, he just starts swearing at the camera.
And all you bitch ass mother phuckin' factory workers are gonna go down like that too! Bitch mother phuckers!

Those are all great quotes. But the best moment of the movie is when Mike wins 50 dollars from the scratch off tickets and then tells everyone with great excitement.

Uncle Bill: "Do they smoke and have cigarettes up in Heaven? I don't think so...I don't think so."

reply

Anything Uncle Bill says is gold, but i don't specifically remember what mike said, but it was for thanksgiving and he was telling Mark what he was thankful for. Mark was saying you gotta be quiet. So Mike starts talking and adn then quickly goes to whisper. I don't know why i find it so funny but i liked that part a lot. If you have seen it you would know what i mean.

But thats just one lowly high-schoolers opinion

reply

yeah when he goes down to the whisper that cracked me up too.

so many good quotes in this movie though.

i love when Marks putting uncle bill's clothes in the washer and he says, "Man's inhumanity to man."

and when mike is walkin to put up flyers without even having the flyers in his hand. and mark stops him to ask what hes doin, and mike's like, "that's why I'm asking you for them." when he didnt ask at all and had no clue what was goin on. that made me laugh the hardest i think.

i also like when Mark talks about how he cant just get his *beep* together. its somthing like why cant i just figure it out, why am i watching this film from 6 years ago, why cant i just get it together.

I just saw this in film class last night. I suppose it was sort of a 'what-not-to-do'.

My favorite part was when Mark was getting all excited and had the white board showing the amount of movies he would have to sell to profit. Then he went and tried to erase the bottom two but accidentally erased the one he wanted to emphasize to the camera... 'We're gonna go like this! And like this! And... Aw man I'm sorry I erased that! But if it was still there...' LMAO!

The old deaf man misunderstanding the word "cinema"...

"CINNAMON?"
"No, 'cinema.'"
"Oh. CINNAMON?"
"Cinema."
"CINNAMON?"

Also, I have pronounced it "votka" ever since I saw this movie 8 years ago. It's just something that gets in your head.

When Mark and his 7/8 year old daughter are spending the night in the film editing room, the dialogue goes as follows:

Mark: $hit...
Daughter: $hit, all I see is purple and..
Mark: Is that the first--Did you just swear, man?

It sounds like he's talking to one of his guy friends or something haha

Also:

Mark: They're making a mockery out of my words, man. This whole thing is turning into a theatrical mockery. You understand that, Mike?
Mike: No. heh.
