Inspiring

I see a lot of posts on this board saying Mark is a loser and a failure and a bad father.

I bet I'm not alone in finding 'American Movie' totally inspiring. This is a guy who has followed his dream from a young age and refuses to throw in the towel. He loves movies and he loves making movies. His passion is infectious, and he draws together a group of people who willingly help him pursue his dream.

Wow!

This movie proves what Eminem says in 'Lose Yourself' ... "You can do anything you set your mind to, man."

A man with Mark Borchard's determination deserves to be a winner, and in my eyes he IS a winner.

I agree. Everyone who talks about this film talks about him like he's some big loser. But to me, he's the exact opposite. He has his dream of getting his vision out there, and he sticks to it, even though he has to face hundreds of problems because of it.

This movie actually was very inspiring to me, it helped me get the drive to finish up my screenplay. Basically, in a non-condescending way, I was able to see how lucky I really am, and how my problems are no where near the problems of Mark. Mark shares a passion for movies, like I do, he lives by them, except he wasted his life away until now when it was almost too late, he tried to persue his dreams and he accomplished the film, and now from what I heard, hes moving on to make a full length film of coven. This was incredibly inspiring, no matter who you are, your film making problems arent as bad as Marks.

Thanks for your comments guys - I totally agree.

Every single one of us can achieve our goals if we really have the passion, drive, self-belief and, of course, a litte help from our friends.
