rerating

the IMDb says (rerated version) next to the rating flags. what was this originally rated?

reply

"Hardball" was originally Rated R. According to a website I was on, it was originally rated R for language and some violence. I guess it was edited, according to the same website. If you want to check it out, I believe it is...

Or you can go to upcomingmovies.com, go to "By title", go to "2001", go to the "H" section, and then to "Hardball". Either way, I believe it should get you to the same web page. Please forgive me if I confused you. I hope I helped. Thanks for reading. May God Bless.

As I remember, the first previews had a PG rating. I guess they added cussing to make it seem more "real" or something, but I Don't Know!

Hardball was originally rated R for language and some violence. But Paramount Pictures and the Rating board discussed it and thought the audience didn't want to see an R-rated movie about a little league team so they gave it a PG-13 for thematic elements, language, and some violence. Oh, and by the way the reason it was originally rated R was because of the kids' bad language and they had to cut some of it down to get a PG-13.

Yeah, me 2. I always thought it was PG-13 even on the trailer like a month before the release of the film. But whatever I guess.
