ok, just half watched this movie, thought it was a bit pish. (who needs barry norman eh?)
one question though:
i thought that two of the kids (that one who died and the one who's birth certificate was changed) were too young to play, yet all of them played in the end. was that cos as the season went on they just grew up, or did i miss something really obvious?
i really don't want to have to watch it all again, but this is kinda pi ssing me off.
yeah I did get confused at times about the number of kids who were on the team, but the two you're talking about, with Jamal, I think his name was (the taller one), you end up seeing he's joined some gang, so he wasn't on the team at all.
The little one (not sure on his name either) on the team who was too young but played at the end was okayed by the other teams coach. There was a bit where he was about to object to the little boy substituting for the one with asthma, but he changed his mind when he saw him. Guess he didn't see him as a threat like the other ones he kept objecting to, so didn't really care if he was too young and his name wasn't on the list.
yes, the taller one (Jamal) did join a gang, but he came back to play the last game so they can have 9 players again (after G-Baby's death). I really didn't understand why he would be able to play that game. but notice that the guy complains about his birth certificate because his birthdate had been changed from 1988 from 1989, so the trouble was that he was too OLD and not too young to play. anyway, it still is hard to understand, but I think the director didn't give a damn about that last game at all.
Jamal (the one that was two old) wasn't in the last game, they were short on players cause they G-baby's brother (can't think of the name) wasn't there yet, then he showed up and said that they were playing for G-Baby.
wolfpack80221 is right, Jamal never came back after he joined the game. and after G-baby's death (tear) his brother should up late. And i know you dont want to watch the movie again, but i think you should, i think it is a great movie
