The Movie TearJerker
Ok, so being the emotionless robot of a man that I am, I find it extremely difficult to connect so emotionally with movies, that tears well up in my eyes, let alone cry. That being said, there have been a few movies over the years that have had me on the edge.
Hardball - To be honest, I'm not a Keanu fan either. I think he's one of the worst actors in Hollywood. But, as corny as this movie was, the scene where he makes the cheesy speach at the funeral, had me close to losing it.
Rudy - The greatest sports movie ever made. The end scene where he is being cheered on by the stadium always brings me close. Great great movie.
Steel Magnolias - I dont even remember why I was watching this movie. I didn't find it incredible or even amazingly enjoyable enough to buy it on DVD. But, I don't know anyone who can sit there like a statue watching Sally Field scream in the cemetary. Powerful stuff.
John Q - My movie guilty pleasure. I'm not supposed to like this film because of all of its flaws. But I can't help it. The scene where Denzel Washington is about to kill himself for his son as his wife runs to the door always does it for me.
Honorable Mention:
Big Fish - Not so much, but great movie and great moment as son is imagining with his father on his death bed.
Men of Honor - The courtroom scene should get me going, but I wouldn't dare cry in the presence of DeNiro.
