Stop making fun of Ash!

Ash Ketchum deserves more respect. Too often do I see people make fun of his character for 1001 pathetic excuses such as: He's an idiot for getting rid of his best Pokemon, He only wins because he's the main character, or even he doesn't (expletive) to any of the girls. We'll I have news for those kind of people: You've had your years of fun, time to take off whatever shades you've been wearing, shrug off your egos and start understanding character at a mature level. Ash is getting rid of his best Pokemon for a GOOD reason, to get them stronger while he's away so he can strengthen his character and skills only using the powerful ones as last resort. For those that prefer easy victories, I'd suggest you think again. Several times Ash has won easily, and those times, he got reprimanded by his friends. If Ash was all-powerful, he'd win yes, but at a terrible price, he'd get labeled the newest jerk, which is far worst that defeat. There's an old saying "Don't mistake Kindness for weakness" For the third reason, this is a KIDS show, they're not supposed to be showing mature content in this. I'm sure people are going to complain about Johto's length, we'll it's time to understand that as well, and in a civilized way as well. The helping people boosts character and saying that helping is boring just exposes selfishness and immaturity. Finally, this show goes way beyond its game origins, make the journey feel more alive than the boxed in, mechanical feel of the games.
