Does anyone know how they did the runny nose effect on Gail Hailstorm in the Blair Witch parody scene?

I watched a behind the scenes clip on this movie a while back. I'm pretty sure they said they had a tube that went into her nostril and released the 'snot.' Watching it tonight though, it does look a bit like CGI. I'll try to find the clip but I'm almost 100% positive that's how they did it.
