So 3 years after it came out. Is there nothing closer to its actual release date?
It's just that there were things like the Bud advert they used as a joke which with time if you had not seen it would not make sense to many people.
Even still putting that joke aside i would expect a better score.
I just remember at its release not knowing anyone to have a bad word about it.
We had a group of friends ranging from as young as 15 to as old as 40 and we all were in stitches of laughter and now i think about it that was actually when it came to SKY Box office in 2001 when that group of us watched it so it was still seen as funny 5 years after the first SCREAM movie came out.
I still find it funny to this day, much more so than Scary Movie 5 and the Wayans recent attempt at horror spoofs A Haunted House 1&2
I just don't think that Dimension and the Wayans working appart from each other work but we have Dimension to thank for that.
Thee is an image of Scary Movie 6 with the Wayans on the cover circling the net but that is just a fans wishful thinking imo.
I think the cast are too old and the movies they have left are not that great for turning in to spoofs either, i mean in Scary Movie 1 they joke about people in their 30's playing teens and that was 16 years ago.
It had its time and unfortunately Dimension and the Wayans split up while it could have been still good and now that era is gone, it would feel like American Pie the reunion and we all know how that turned out.
I just feel sad that the original viewed by people today don't enjoy it knowing that in its time people did enjoy it.
I guess they could do SCREAM 4 as that seemed to be well received by teens when it came out but like i say age would be an issue and they would pretty much covering the same story they did when spoofing SCREAM 1
